A group of lights in this beautiful cave can be seen in Jomblang Cave. Jomblang Cave is one of the caves located in Gunung Kidul, precisely in Jetis Wetan, Pacarejo, Semanu, Gunung Kidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Since the sewu mountains have been designated by the UN agency UNESCO as one of the new members of the Global Geopark Network in 2015, until now Jomblang Cave has been designated as the world’s goepark icon. It ranks the same as Jeju Island in Korea and Langkawi in Malaysia.
There are four paths to enter this Jomblang cave. The first path is the easiest path to take, often called the VIP line. On this path the first 15 meters through a steep track and can still be tread by feet.
Complete SRT (Single Rope Technique) equipment must be prepared to ensure safety to the bottom of the cave. The remaining base distance of the Jomblang cave can be reached using SRT, by sliding as far as about 20 meters using a rope. But for the other three lanes, the lane is more difficult because it needs to use SRT since the height is 80 meters (lane A), 60 meters (lane B) and 40 meters (lane C). For beginner explorers it is recommended to choose the VIP route with a height of 20 meters.
